Day and Night

I'm pretty sure I have mentioned this before but I love versatile pieces because I know I will get several different looks with just one piece. And who doesn't want that! With that being said, I am introducing to you all my favorite top from last summer but I guess it counts for this summer as well because I absolute love it! The off the shoulder is perfect for summer weather and the sleeves are just too fun!! For the day casual look, I like pairing this top with my favorite high waisted Levi's shorts and pair of simple sandals and you're all set to run some errands or even grab brunch with your girlfriends!

It is so easy to transition an outfit from casual day to fancy night when your staple piece is as "big" as this top (reason # 173628 why I love it).  Pair it with your favorite jeans, a pair of heels and you're all set to go! I decided to wear my favorite black jeans with some black heels (these heels are under $20 as part of Zara's summer sale and they are soooo comfortable!) and some really cute pair of statement earrings.

Designer Dupes

One thing I love: staple and classic pieces that make any outfit stand out! One thing I hate: paying full price on expensive items in order to achieve the goal. This post is dedicated to a fan favorite (and by fan, I mean myself hahaha) that is dupes! I have rounded up 5 items that I love and I can't wait to get soon. So here we go!

The first item is the classic David Yurman bracelet that combines with every single outfit. The original bracelet costs about $550 but I have found a similar bracelet with great reviews on Amazon that costs only $14!

And of course, the matching ring!
I've been recently obsessed with silk scarves because there are endless ways to wear them! You can wear them as a headband or a bandana, tie it around a ponytail, and even just tying it on a pair of shorts. I love the Hermes scarves but they are way too expensive. I found this dupe from amazon as well at a fraction of the cost!

A second type of bracelet that I have had my eye on are the Dior's woven bracelets. They are perfect summer and I knew if I had one I would wear them every single day. The downside is that they are around $400!!!! I have found a similar design for so much less!

Last but not least, the famous golden goose sneakers. The sneakers range from $400-$700 and I will never pay that much for a pair of sneakers! Luckily, amazon has some few options that are just as cute!

This is all for today and I hope you enjoyed it!

Loft Mini Haul

Exciting News!!! Loft is having an extra 40% off their sale items as part of their summer sale and they have some pretty great deals! I was able to snap three items that were all under $20 and I loved them even more in person. First I got this blue long sleeve top and it is the coziest material ever. Even though we are in summer and long sleeves are a no, it was at a great deal (at only $6 using the code SUNNY) and I knew I was going to get the most out of it once the winter started coming in. I paired it with black leggings and white sneakers. Next, I got this pair of high waisted jeans with the bow jean belt that is too cute. I love Loft's jeans because they fit true to size and they are so comfortable! Another thing I love about this pair of jeans is that they are so easy to dress down (like I did with just a simple tee and some sneakers) or dress up by adding a pair of heels! My third find is this top that I had been eyeing since it was in full price and I am so happy that it went finally on sale. I love the fall color and the little ruffles on the side! I paired it with some espadrilles and skinny jeans!

I have also rounded up my favorite finds from the Loft Sale below!

Romper Season

Just like dresses, I love rompers because they are so easy to wear and you don't have to worry about picking out a top that matches your bottoms and vice versa! Its just slipping something really easy and you are done! Funny story: my second day of college I woke up so late that I had thirty minutes till class started and I needed to get ready and drive to class. So I just slipped on a romper and I was out of my house in literally three minutes and I was so thankful for that romper for getting me to class in time!! This polka dot romper is so cute and I love how subtle the dots are compared to other prints when it is too "in your face." Also, I love how flowy it is and the back detail is just too cute! It is perfect for summer time with sandals or you can even casual it down with some white sneakers. Pair it with a jean jacket and it becomes the perfect summer to fall transition piece!

Eyelet

During summer, I love wearing eyelet tops and dresses, and honestly who wouldn't?! They are so versatile and chic with the perfect pattern of summer and looks so cute in any color and occasion! I got this top last summer and I love pairing it with high waisted shorts, jeans and even with skirts! Today I've paired this eyelet top (which is under $15) with my favorite high waisted shorts. I have also rounded up my favorite tops and dresses from this season below!

Strawberries and Lemons

I will forever be that girl who looovees a classic white dress that becomes my signature piece for the whole summer. With that being said, I just couldn't resist this dress from target that has a fun twist to a classic white dress. How fun is this print! The lemons and strawberry print gives the white dress a whole completely look and it just looks too darling. And can we talk about the sleeves!!!! The small puff of the sleeves gives it a pop that not a lot of dresses have! Another thing that I love about the dress is the flowy fit, it is just the most comfortable. As well as it is not see through which is perfect especially for a white dress! A third (or maybe fourth) great thing from this gorgeous dress is that it is under $20!! It can't get more perfect than that.

Now, the shoes! I've been wanting a pair of summer wedges that would complement every outfit and were comfortable and this pair checks both of these criteria! They are super light weight and include a comfort sole! The best part, obviously the price! I hope you all love this outfit as much as I do!

4 Summer Hairstyles

I don't know about you but I get bored from my hair all. the. time. Especially now, I'm in a great need of a haircut and I am constantly trying to find new simple hairstyles to try out at home. So I have found and tried 4 different hairstyles in where I used small elastic bands and butterfly clips (that's right! butterfly clips, a little blast from the past!)  and I want to share with you guys!

The first hairstyle is so simple and cute! You start off by taking a small square of hair and adding an elastic band around it. Continue adding hair and adding elastic bands as you go until you create kind of a waterfall effect. I did this on both sides of my hair but you can just do it on one side as well!

For the second hairstyle, it is a classic 90's hairstyle and I am honestly so here for it! It is the classic butterfly clips that create a headband around your hair. It is so easy and it literally takes less than 10 seconds. I used brown butterfly clips but it would look so cute with some colorful actual butterfly clips!

The third and fourth hairstyle compliment each other! You start off by braiding a small side dutch braid and adding an elastic band right where the braid stops. Then, you add more elastic bands along the small ponytail and you sandwich all of the small pieces. "Sandwiching" is the effect of pulling all of the hair pieces to the side and I love doing this because it makes it seem as if you have more hair! For the fourth hairstyle, you pull all of your hair to one side ponytail and continue adding more elastic bands along the ponytail!

I hope you like them!

She is Organized

At the start of this year, I bought and Ipad to take all of my notes. Being a college student, organization is the only way I can survive a school semester so having all of my notes from every class in one place really made the most sense for me. Having a planner is also really important to stay organized. I need to constantly write down everything I have to do and have a visual calendar in order to see which days are my busiest and which days I have more time! Don't get me wrong, I love having a paper planner but having a digital planner is so convenient when you can just switch from looking at your notes to going to your calendar at just a simple click of a tab. With that being said, I have decided to create my own designs for digital or printable calendars. You can find my shop by clicking here or by clicking the etsy shop tab! Here are my first five yearly calendar designs that go from June 2020 to June 2021.

Favorite Summer Skirt

Happy Saturday everyone! This past week has been a rough one for everyone and I would like to say that I will continue to learn more about BLM and how to support. However, I will continue to post my normal content just to create some positivity. With that being said, I would like to introduce my favorite summer clothing item! This skirt! We all have that one piece of clothing that just screams summer and for me it is this yellow floral skirt, that is actually a short but disguises as a skirt. How cute is that!

Details

I paired this skirt (or should I say short!) two ways. The first look is a little bit more dressed up as I paired it with a classic cotton tee and a pair of espadrilles. The white top compliments the vibrant color of the skirt and makes the skirt the central point of focus! The red espadrilles bring the whole colorful look together and it serves for the right summer look!

For the second look, I decided to go for a more casual look. A bright green tee with a bright yellow skirt does not seem like a good combination but once I tried them on together, I felt like they really complimented together as the green ties in the little bit of green from the skirt. I paired this with some classic reebok sneakers to make it more casual and the clean white look of the sneakers helps to tone down the bright colors. I hope you like this!
