Top 5 of the Week

Happy Friday! I've got to say, this was one of those weeks where time just flew by so quickly and it feels like last Friday was actually.....just yesterday. Weird how time works right? Anyways, since today is Friday I would like to recap my favorite things of the week. This is something that I would be doing hopefully every Friday and it just consists of random things I liked throughout the week. I hope you enjoy!

1. First on the list is this Dome Ring from Merjuri. I love the classic feel of it and it is a simpler version of the trending croissant ring. It is for sure a timeless piece that will go with everything!

2.  If you have never watched "Kids Baking Championship" and you are a fan of "The Great British Baking Show" go and watch it right now! Kids from the age ranges of 10-13 enter this competition similarly to win a grand prize. The talent these kids have just amazes me after every episode.

3. This recipe for a cookies and cream milkshake. I tried it yesterday and it was delicious!

4. I've recently found myself listening to more podcasts than before and I've recently found this podcast called "What we Said". The hosts are the two best friends, Chelsey and Jaci, and you honestly feel as if you are having a conversation with your own best friends. I definitely recommend.

5. This gorgeous dress from Zara. I can't wait to have an actual reason to buy it and actually wear it out!

Simple DIY

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good Wednesday! One of my favorite things to do is take a simple item of clothing and give it a new style that is so easy to do. Today I wanted to share one of my most recent DIY Projects. A few weeks ago, I bought this classic pink relaxed fit tee from target. I love tee's because they are such a closet staple and they are so easy to dress up with heels or dress down with some cute sneakers. However, I have many tees and I wanted to do something different to this one so it could stand out from my other tees. This is when I had the idea to go to Hobby Lobby and go to their iron patch section and found this beautiful detail of a dragonfly iron on patch.

DETAILS

Iron on patches are so easy to apply and you can find them everywhere! All you need to do is to preheat the tee you want to use for 30 seconds using a household iron, place the patch over the surface and apply heat for about a minute, wait for it to cool down and that is it! It only takes you less than 5 minutes and it gives your simple tee a new look!

SUMMER TREND | 1 |

Happy Monday! On my last post, I talked about a raffia headband that I paired with a lovely green flower dress. As I mentioned before, I fell in love with the texture and style of the headband since I first saw it and I instantly knew it was going to become a fun summer favorite of mine. This inspired me to gather other accessories made out of woven raffia that I know you will love too!

The classic round purse is such a fun combination that adds the summer twist to every single outfit that you want. It is such a great transition piece from spring to summer since it goes with everything! These two purses are from mango and h&m and they are both under $20! In addition, the earrings with the pop of green will for sure make your whole outfit pop! I love target earrings because they are beautiful and at a great price. These earrings are under $10! I've got to say, my personal favorite has to be both of the platform shoes in green and red! I know I need to run and go get them because they are just too cute!

Little Green Dress + Raffia Headband

After seeing Julia from Gal meets Glam and Kate from Lonestar Southern wearing these woven headbands, I fell in love. The classic headband with a twist of the raffia texture screams in capital letters summer and I know it will become one of my favorite summer staples. I paired the headband with this dress because I thought they complimented each other really well! The dark green of the dress contrasts the light color of the headband making it the best combination! I bought this headband from she-in and the headband was only…$2.50! That is such a steal! Sadly, I bought this dress last summer and I can’t find the link for it. But I have linked below several similar dresses that are all under $50! I hope you like them!
